There are 2 different ways in which you can become CPO certified. They both result in the exact same full CPO certification.
THE TRADITIONAL 2-DAY COURSE FORMAT
2 full days in the classroom = CPO Certification
(no online work required before the course)
THE "FUSION" FORMAT
~8 Hours of Online training + 1 day in the classroom = CPO Certification
Due to the overwhelming preference of our customers to complete as much of the training online as possible, the majority of our CPO courses are offered in the NSPF FUSION format. We do offer the traditional 2-day format for some courses as well. For a Fusion course, you will be sent a code and instructions to access an online training portal that must be completed before attending the 1-day in-person class. The 1-day in-person training will review all of the material, review all local regulations, and include the final CPO certification exam.
This course is taught in English but the NSPF® Pool & Spa Operator™ Handbook is available in Spanish as well. Please be sure to request a Spanish handbook when registering.
This course is appropriate for both first-time attendees and those seeking certification renewal. No previous experience or certification is required to enroll in this course.
*For organizations seeking private classes, we will gladly teach the traditional 2-day format class as well if preferred.
A CPO® Certification provides individuals with the basic knowledge, techniques, and skills of pool and spa operations. This training has helped protect millions of swimmers by reducing hazards at aquatic facilities. The NSPF® Certified Pool/Spa Operator® (CPO®) Certification program, the world's leading verifiable pool and spa training credential, is available as a blended training program. The CPO® Certification program is also eligible for IACET Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
